Pricing Analyst
Location: Wolverhampton
Salary: £35,000 – £49,000
Contract: Full-time
Overview
We’re one of the UK’s leading and fastest-growing refurbished phone companies. We’re looking for a Pricing Analyst to take ownership of pricing strategy — using data to maximise sales and margins in a fast-moving market. You’ll analyse competitors, sales velocity, market supply, and rankings to give us a competitive edge. As we grow, this role will evolve into leading a team of Pricing Analysts.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse daily competitor pricing and stock levels using in-house tools
- Monitor sales performance (sell-through, rankings, core vs. non-core)
- Adjust pricing dynamically based on demand and market supply
- Apply strategies across variations (storage, cosmetic grades, conditions)
- Identify margin opportunities while staying competitive
- Improve pricing processes (automation, analytics)
- Produce regular reports on performance, trends, and risks
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders without needing prompts
Skills & Experience
- Good Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas) or fast learner
- Strong analytical, numerical, and logical thinking
- Decisive and able to act with urgency
- Commercial judgement balancing competitiveness, velocity, and margin
- Comfortable with large datasets and drawing insights
- Confident communicator who can explain pricing decisions
- Detail-oriented, methodical, accurate to daily/weekly cycles
- Experience in pricing/merchandising/trading or data-led roles (retail/eCommerce preferred)
- Experience with automation, analytics, or BI tools (desirable)
