Google Maps have added a new feature for April Fool’s Day.
At this time, Wally (Waldo to some) is currently on Google Maps and invites you to play the Wheres Wally game on Google Maps! The game is in the usual where’s wally fashion, he is hiding in a location image with
his other friends, Wenda, Wizard Whitebeard, Odlaw and Woof the dog.
To play this game of Where’s Wally, you will need to update the Google Maps app on phone or tablet or just go to Google Maps on Desktop.
To start the game you will see Wally on the edge of the screen, waving at you, just press him and the game will begin.
You can also use Google Assistant to start the game, you can use it on phones, Chromebook and Google home devices.
You just need to say the command “Hey Google, Where’s Waldo”.
The game started on March 31st and will end on Saturday the 7th, so get playing!
The news was officially announced in a Google blog post by Wally himself, this is what ‘he’ said;
“I’m always on the lookout for fantastic new places to explore. My last adventure started in sun-sational Mountain View, CA where I visited the terrific team at Google, including Google Maps product managers Max Greenwald and Shreena Thakore. Wow!
“By the way, I’m not travelling on my own. Wherever I go, my trusty friends Wenda, Woof, Wizard Whitebeard, and even that pesky Odlaw go as well. You can come, too—all you have to do is find me!
“Starting today, you can use Google Maps to join in my amazing adventures for April Fools this week. Are you prepared for a perplexing pursuit?”
