It’s hard to know how to do the little things never mind the big important tasks, iOS is known for being a lot harder and less customisable compared to Android so moving and deleting apps off your iPhone can be quite confusing.

Hold down the app icon 

We shall start off easy. 

  1. Find the app you want to delete
  2. Press and hold down on the app
  3. All of the icons will start shaking/wiggling
  4. Press the little X on the corner of the app/s you want to delete
  5. Confirm deletion

When deleting the app, it will delete all of the data that is carried as well, this will clear a bit of your memory but all your data on the app will be lost, if you feel like you will need the app again then think carefully before deleting! Please note that some apps will not have the X due to them defaulting to iOS and un-deletable.

  1. Tap onto the settings
  2. Tap General
  3. Tap Storage & iCloud usage
  4. Tap Manage Storage
  5. Tap the app you want to delete
  6. Tap Delete app

This way is the best way to delete apps while looking at how much storage you have left if you need to download an app or film and need a certain amount of storage this is the way.

On iTunes

When deleting apps off your device, this will stay in your iTunes and other Apple devices that have the certain app. To delete the app permanently:

  1.  Click on the specific app/s
  2. Press Delete from Library in the pop-up box
  3. Confirm deletion
