Use the Apple Watch as a camera remote

This is one of the most underated features on the Apple Watch, this is perfect for people who always take selfies or love taking photos. You can use your Apple Watch to act as a remote for your iPhones camera, it allows you to see the photo being taken and allowing you to press the shutter button to take it. To set it up, just use the camera app on the Apple Watch and make sure that the iPhone is taking the picture you desire.

Apple Watch Mute notification

Use your hand to mute notifications

The Apple Watch excels in giving you notifications straight to your wrist, allowing you to look quick and not waste time. This can be a pain though, especially if you don’t know how to mute notifications. There is a feature that allows you to mute all notifications without having to go into the settings or without having to go on your iPhone. All you need to do is cover the watch face with your hand. To turn this setting on:

  • Go onto your iPhone
  • Go to My Watch
  • Sounds & Haptics
  • Turn on cover to mute

Apple Watch Water ejection

Clear any water from the speaker

If you own an Apple Watch 2 or newer, you will have waterproofing on your device, water can still build up in the speaker though. This could possibly lead to damage or distorted audio sounds from the watch. Apple have offered a great fix for this by giving you a feature to remove the water. All you have to do is:

  • Swipe up from the bottom
  • In control center, tap on the water drop icon
  • This will put it into water mode
  • Turn the crown to unlock the watch and clear water from the speaker

*Note – Use this feature every time you get it wet*
